Leadership Structure |
The Leadership Team is the decision-making body of the Corps. The team includes our Corps Officers, the Corps Sergeant Major, the Executive Coordinator and three Area Coordinators.
These Area Coordinators give oversight to all aspects of the life of the Corps, grouped in areas of Mission, Discipleship and Business.
The Leadership Team forms a strong representation of the Corps membership. Apart from the Corps Officers, all other members are lay Salvationists serving in a voluntary capacity.
The Corps Sergeant Major is the leading lay person of the corps. This role is to support the Corps Officers in every way possible by providing advice, guidance and practical help. The CSM also gives support to the other members of the leadership team and to local officers.
The Executive Coordinator supports and assists the Corps Officers, Corps Sergeant Major and works with the Area Coordinators. She is a resource in providing advice, guidance and practical support along with administrative coordination for the business of the leadership team and the Corps Council.
The Mission area is made up of what tends to form the most visible elements of corps and community activity. These include Sunday Services, Musical groups, Community Services, Children's and Youth involvement plus a wide range of group and individual activities and programs undertaken within the Christchurch City Corps.
The Business area is made up of all aspects of administration and financial management together with the oversight of Family Stores, Community Services and property affairs of the Christchurch City Corps.
The Discipleship area is made up of all aspects that support the spiritual development, growth, and pastoral care of all people connected with the Christchurch City Corps.
